Volume I: 1925-1975. (1976) 64 pages
Traces chronologically the
development of the Leica camera. The various Leica models are discussed in
detail in 43 profusely illustrated sections. Each model is illustrated by an
overal view; special features of a given model type ar shown in revealing
close-ups. A simplified identification scheme covering models I-IIIg is
incorporated to aid in establishing the model type of a given camera. Models
I-IIIg are further discussed with serial number ranges, dates of manufacture,
and identifying characteristics presented in easily understood tabular
form.
Volume II: Lenses, Accessories & Special Models. (1978) 256 pages
A richly illustrated "road map" through a
territory as fascinating as it is unfamiliar to most owners, collectors, and
enthusiasts. Its subject: the lenses, viewfinders, motors, and other small
accessories that were part of the classic screw mount Leica system between 1925
and 1960. Many of the accessories discussed and pictured in this authoritative
guide were produced in limited quantities; as a result they are little
known.
Of special interest are the chapters devoted to engravings and other markings placed on Leica equipment indicating purpose, ownership, or even particular sales agencies; Leicas and accessories made for the German armed forces during World War II, and unusual screw mounting Leicas, M Leicas, and Leicaflex models, many of which have never been shown.
Volume III: M And Leicaflex Lenses/Special Models And Accessories. (1979) 96 pages
This book discusses and pictures M lenses, R
lenses, CL lenses, prototype lenses, ELCAN lenses, even a lens made by Leitz but
not carrying the Leitz name...these are profusely illustrated in more than 300
photos (most of them life-sized.) Designed to supplement the author's Leica
Illustrated Guide (1975) and Leica Illustrated Guide II (1978), this third Guide
is an essential companion
volume.
Set is in Very Good condition.
