Traces chronologically the development of the Leica camera. The various Leica models are discussed in detail in 43 profusely illustrated sections. Each model is illustrated by an overall view; special features of a given model type are shown in revealing close-ups. A simplified identification scheme covering models I-IIIg is incorporated to aid in establishing the model type of a given camera.
